Which employees are eligible to join an EMI scheme?

To be granted EMI options, an individual must:

• be an employee of the company or one of its subsidiaries;
• work at least 25 hours a week, or spend at least 75% of their working time on the business — so a part-time employee can qualify, provided they do not spend more than 25% of their time working elsewhere;
• not already hold more than 30% of the company’s shares at the time the options are granted.
