Case Study: Waterfall Solutions

In 2005, RM2 designed and implemented an Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI) plan for Waterfall Solutions (Waterfall) to match its objectives of retaining, incentivising and motivating key members of staff. The company is a provider of cutting edge technology for the defence, homeland security and commercial sectors around the world.

In October 2010, Waterfall was acquired by Digital Barriers Plc. The sale triggered the exercise of the participants' EMI share options resulting in significant financial gains for those involved.

The success of Waterfall's EMI plan is an excellent illustration of how a share option plan can be implemented for the real benefit of a company's employees and ultimately its shareholders.
